Note 1: The vertical loading strength of all grids will easily handle the maximum wheel load of any road vehicle in the UK. The turning forces and dry steering [turning the wheel while stationary] is the main cause of damage for these grids. Therefore, it is important to establish vehicle class use before specifying.
Note 2: Values are given for unfilled grids, tested on a rigid base: dependent on the type
of infill and ground conditions the installed grids load-bearing capacity can reach up to
circa 900 Tonnes/m2.
